Quartz stone countertop with a gap is not good?

Some consumers say that there is obvious color difference when checking a position against the light. Merchant explained that it is normal for the joint position.

Net friends asked me about this question whether it is really so.  The answer is true. There is no way to avoid it 100%, but there are ways to mitigate the problem.

Quartz stone, as the most widely used countertop material in the overall kitchen industry, has many advantages:

Quartz Mohs hardness is very high, completely not afraid of sharp objects scratch;

Acid and alkali resistance and high temperature resistance. The pot which has been burned is directly put without any problem;

Non-toxic radiation free, safe and durable;

If you want to say the shortcomings, the most obvious is that the joint can not be completely traceless.

The color difference mentioned above is in the location of the joint, usually with glue, sometimes also needs to be polished twice. The color after polishing will be different from the position of the side without polishing, and there will be differences in anti-fouling ability in the future.  The way to reduce the impact of this is to minimize the joint length, look at the process accuracy, as far as possible not on-site polishing or polishing area as small as possible.

In addition, quartz stone pollution resistance is strong, not to say that it does not permeate pollution, especially white light quartz stone.  If afraid of sedimentation, try to choose dark quartz stone and sedimentation will not be too obvious, or usually diligent point, clean up in time.  Also, do not put the iron for a long time on the table, oxidation rust will not be easy to erase.

 How could we distinguish quartz stone, granite stone or other stones and how to look at the quartz stone good or bad when buying?  The merchant said how much quartz content, your naked eye also can not see.  If you want to distinguish the good and bad, do violent experiments on the line, ask businesses to take a sample, with a key, knife and other back and forth test hardness, with a lighter burning test of high temperature resistance, with vinegar bubble to see acid resistance, with soy sauce or ink test of seepage pollution performance.

Quartz stone is still the best choice for kitchen countertop/bench top/worktop.
